Tamarindo, Costa Rica –
I never realized how much I really enjoy rain until I moved to Costa Rica. By the end of almost six months of no rain and intense heat here in Northwest Costa Rica during the “Summer”, I am fried. When the rains finally come, I have been known to do a happy dance or two.
Rainy season also means dramatic sunsets, and as y’all know, I am a sucker for a beautiful sunset. But, here we are in the middle of rainy season and no rain in three weeks. Until last Monday. The heavens opened up and BAM, mix in a some serious rain with a sunset and you have a photo keeper. And yes, Gidget and I did get soaked while chasing one of these sunsets. Enjoy ’em.

- She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails.
- Even after all this time the Sun never says to the Earth, “You owe me.” Look what happens with a love like that, it lights up the whole sky.
- She’s not hung up on fairy tales, or some dream at the bottom of a wishing’ well. What she wants most are the little things.
- I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
